Literary Laughables is a fun St. Patrick’s writing activity that is the PERFECT narrative writing task for middle school and high school ELA students. This St. Patty’s Day creative writing activity includes eight fill-in-the-blank texts that encourage students to use their creative thinking skills and collaborate with their classmates.
There are 3 complete stories that require students to create a list of words that they will use to complete their fill-in-the-blank story. After completing their Literary Laughable passage, students will create a brand new holiday story with fill-in-the-blank options for a classmate to complete.
Additionally, there are five incomplete Literary Laughable stories that end on a cliffhanger. Students will be required to create a new narrative that continues from where the story left off and provides a logical resolution to the story.
